An astrological dialogue
A professional dispute between the "astrological heir" of MULTIS , the grandson of Stephan A. Lehrieder - Christoph Odendahl - and - Werner Popp - the author of the article: "Lehrieder's multiple directorates “In the astrological journal MERIDIAN from 1993:
W. POPP:
Mr. Odendahl, I am delighted to get to know you personally. Mr. Lehrieder, my astrological teacher, whom I greatly value and admire, always reported with visible joy and great pride during our meetings and conversations about the multinationals that his grandson, Christoph Odendahl, is following in his footsteps and is devoting himself intensively to the study of multinationals. So you have accepted a responsible legacy. How do you intend to deal with your grandfather's legacy?
C. ODENDAHL:
I have been actively involved in my grandfather's research work for a long time, holding lectures and seminars on multiple management methods with and without him. For example, most recently in Stuttgart on the occasion of the “Aalen Cosmobiological Academy” conference. Elaborated manuscripts are available for this and for further research. Furthermore, a new homepage has been created in cooperation with Mr. Lehrieder, which shows all specialist information and current case studies and makes them accessible to anyone interested.
In your article about Lehrieder's multinationals in comparison with / in relation to harmonics and developmental psychology, you go too far, in my opinion, watering down the importance of multinationals and making it difficult to assess and understand them. This complicates matters and could confuse interested parties.
W. POPP:
For me it was extremely illuminating to recognize the role of the harmonics as static intermediate points of the Multi 2 and to make the connection in the calculation method clear and comprehensible to me. It is like a film and the (integer) harmonics form the rungs of a ladder of the continuous multi 2. Harmonics are undeniably computationally the multi-2 horoscopes for the respective birthday. They arise from the multiplication with or division (division) in a circle by the integers. The Multi 2 show the continuous (additive) way how the natal dynamically "moves and develops" towards the respective harmonic.
C. ODENDAHL:
But that may distract from the clarity of the aspect structure with regard to specific event times, shifts their focus, so to speak, and reduces their precise expressiveness!
W. POPP:
That was by no means my intention. Rather, I recognized the importance of the “birthday multinationals” as integer harmonics and as relevant for child developmental psychology. This is how I found the heuristic approach for a new way of looking at developmental psychology that may even be carried on beyond childhood. The "milestones" of the Multi 2 could gain weight as a topic for the past or upcoming, upcoming, upcoming year of life - at least in childhood, maybe also for the further, later years. A strong and (me) convincing indication of this is the highly interesting plausibility of the first seven or 10 years with the sun ... to Saturn, Uranus, possibly even to Neptune, Pluto within the framework of the psychologists' developmental theories. You just have to be ready to switch from a vertical to a horizontal perspective or vice versa, as is often required by astrology. (See book: “The vertical view of the world”).
C. ODENDAHL:
It seems to me that with these interpretations you could possibly diminish the real & nbsp; meaning and the possibilities of the multinationals of Lehrieder if you reduce its finding and development to this very imprecise way of looking at time phases of life which are very imprecise compared to the precision of multinationals.
W. POPP:
You should understand my intention differently: My approach puts the multinationals in the context of familiar and well-known astrological methods, offers new explanations for the validity of at least the multi 2. The principles of harmonics, analogy to solar as well as cyclical perspectives and relationships make the Multinationals are more acceptable for astrological skeptics and justify a new theoretical / methodological background to their deductive, theoretical explanation and plausibility.
C. ODENDAHL:
In your remarks, I believe I can see that you only accept the first time the multiple directorates and thus Lehrieder's scientific achievement to a limited extent.
W. POPP:
Not at all. Rather, I admire the basic work of my astrological teacher and place him in a row with pioneering modern, contemporary astrologers such as Robert Hand (Combin and Composit, decimal harmonics), Heinz Specht (GOH houses, wrongly called Dr. Koch houses), Kührs and Kündig as well as Martin Freeman's management methods etc. Rupert Sheldrake also proved that new behavior and ingenious new research approaches are often “in the air” through the function of his “morphogenetic fields”. Important scientific findings and upheavals are often found simultaneously and completely independently of one another by distant "discoverers" who are strange to each other. Here Robert Hand with decimal harmonics (= multi 2) and Martin Freeman with his approach of decimal harmonics (= multi 2) as a forecasting method (with the small, correctable blemish of +1) parallel and without knowledge of each other partial results of Lehrieder's much more comprehensive and Provided with a consistent approach, we just have to recognize them and bring them together. You have thus encouraged our understanding, enabled / facilitated our intellectual comprehension and prepared explanations without knowing it or intending it. In any case, my willingness to deal with the multinationals and to grapple with them has been significantly promoted.
Where do you think the trend for multinationals is going? What are your future intentions and what sub-areas are you focusing on? Where do you want to focus?
I see the danger of dogmatic hardening and paralysis if you adhere unyieldingly and restrictively to the previous knowledge and standpoints of Stephan Lehrieder. Or is there a further development?
C. ODENDAHL:
The starting point is primarily my grandfather's findings and justifications, which were originally based on intensive research into the interrelationships of the lottery numbers in order to be able to provide objective, unequivocal and ultimately scientifically tenable evidence of the correctness and functionality of astrology.
My grandfather did not consider his research to be complete. Rather, he has always vehemently advocated handling them flexibly and pursuing and expanding further application possibilities of the multinationals, as well as collecting verifiable reasons to substantiate them. We are probably still only at the beginning of the extensive research and can continuously collect new knowledge based on our investigations. It is also entirely conceivable to add further options to the 5 previous variants of the multiple directorates, because every logically justifiable modification with regard to the multiplication factors, in my opinion, deserves a critical review.
W. POPP:
In my contributions to the multinationals (in this MERIDIAN and in the first article in 1993), I try to create a quasi-philosophical, & nbsp; humanities or even scientific-theoretical justification through the connection with astrological axioms, premises and methods. (This is not always to be represented and formulated in very simple words.) How do you as a practitioner feel about such attempts and intentions? Do you see this as helpful for your practical work and for persuading potential interested parties and users or as counterproductive, as it can be confusing and complicating for some people? Your grandfather was - I think - a bit ambivalent about this.
C. ODENDAHL:
Like my grandfather, I think it is important, yes, essential, in addition to the indispensable practical observation, to also formulate scientific and humanistic starting points and reasons for multinationals and astrology in general.
Because without efforts with regard to a logical-rational penetration of the astrological modes of operation, the desired classification as recognized science will continue to be denied. Here the exact value method of the multiple directorates offers a new, promising possibility to counter the existing challenges with meaningful and mathematically verifiable arguments.
The approach you represent, a multi-layered, synthesis-oriented and interdisciplinary view, therefore corresponds to my own ideas, and I also consider this to be inevitable with regard to further findings.
Werner POPP , a graduate in administration and retired chief criminal officer, is qualified as a science astrologist by Taeger (Horoskope-Lexikon, Volume 4).
